Watch: Women Who Make America
For those of you who have aspirations of being an entrepreneur, author, found a non-profit, or just be a general do-gooder on this planet, check out Makers.com. (Thanks for the tip Courtney!)
A joint project between PBS and AOL, Makers.com is a collection of videos about women who make a difference on our lovely green and blue planet. Featuring leaders from the worlds of art, business, politics, sports, science and education, the breadth of achievement represented by these women is impressive. I was inspired just browsing through the titles of the women interviewed for the project:
- Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright
- First NYC Female Firefighter
- First Female Chief Scientist at NASA
- Retired US Army Colonel
- CEO, Girl Scouts
- And other chefs, authors, surfers, ballet dancers, CEOs, senators and artists
I tried to post a video to start you off but there were just too many to choose from so I thought it best to let you browse the categories yourself to find something that aligns with your goals. Maybe I'll pick select favorites for future posts.
For now: browse, watch and be inspired!
